2024 CAMP SCHEDULE
July 12-14: Little Lambs Camp (ages 4-8) July 14-19: Children's Camp (ages 7-12) July 21-26: Youth Camp (ages 11-16) *Accommodations can be made if necessary - just contact us! A Typical Day at Camp Aurora *Please note that this schedule may be slightly altered at the Camp Dean or Pastor's discretion. 8:00 am- Wake up! It's another beautiful day at Camp Aurora! 8:30 am- Morning devotions with everyone. Prayers, readings and fun SONGS to wake everyone up! 9:00 am- Breakfast time! Scrambled eggs, bacon, french toast, pancakes, sausage, fruit, quiche...what will it be today? 9:30 am- Kitchen Patrol, time for clean up! Everyone else, off to your cabins to clean up and get them ready for daily inspection! Remember, winning cabin gets to go first at canteen! 10:00 am- Bible study...the good stuff. Pastor of the week teaches, small groups talk, fun activities are played...this isn't your grandma's Bible study! 11:00 am- Swim & sauna time! Get your bathing suit on and take a dip, or just come sit on the beach and play in the sand. 12:15 pm- Lunch time...grilled cheese, soup, sandwiches, veggies and dip...our cook has something yummy lined up for sure! 1:00 pm- Kitchen Patrol, to the kitchen! Everyone else, quiet time in your cabins. Read a book, play some cards, take a nap...shhhhh... 1:30 pm- Rec 1. Ready for more fun? Staff lead small groups in canoeing, archery, sports, crafts, games... 2:30 pm- Canteen! Time for some tasty treats! Pop, chocolate bars, chips, freezies...but remember, only 2 treats a day! 3:00 pm- Rec 2. MORE fun! Didn't get to go canoeing during Rec 1? Always wanted to try archery? Let's do it! 4:00 pm- Time for another swim & sauna! 5:15 pm- Supper's ready! Chicken pot pie, meatloaf, casseroles, spaghetti...and of course, don't forget tonight's theme meal! Is it Twin Day, or Utensil Night, or Silent Meal? 6:00 pm- Kitchen Patrol, you're on duty! Free time for everyone else. Hang out on the big rock, play some volleyball, or just sit and get to know fellow campers! 6:30 pm- Team challenge, team time, big rec...there's always something fun going on at night! Now is the time for that game of Capture the Flag, or planning a skit with your team...whatever the Dean has cooked up for the evening. We're sure it'll be a blast! 8:30 pm- Evening devotion, snack, campfire...this is where memories are made. Nice weather? Lets eat our snack at the fire and sing some songs. Raining? Everyone huddle up in the Great Hall and listen to the rain on the tin roof. 9:30 pm- Cabin time. Get to know your cabin mates and start to wind down. Ask the Pastor your questions when he comes for his nightly visit, and request your rec activities for tomorrow when the Dean stops by! 10:00 pm- Lights out! Time for a good night's sleep so we can do it all again tomorrow! |
